The story of Mr Sidek Saniff, Former Senior Minister of State Singapore, growing up years in a village - his plights and adventures from a poor village boy into becoming Minister of State. 2) Child of the Sea or Budak Laut written by Mr Wan Hussin Zoohri, Former Parliamentary Secretary to Minister for Communication and Information. A story of an 'Orang Laut' (seafaring ethnic community) boy and his encounters with Sir Stamford Raffles when Raffles first landed in Singapore.
